The Rainbow Room of Tarrant County

What is the Rainbow Room?

The Rainbow Room is a ray of hope for abused and neglected children.  It is an on-site, emergency resource room stocked with items to assist Child Protective Services Caseworkers in helping families and children in crisis.   In some cases, the Rainbow Room is able to provide families with supplies so that children can remain safe in their homes while CPS works with the family.

Why do we need a Rainbow Room?

Many times children come into CPS care with nothing but what little clothes they have on.  Sometimes they are in dirty and torn clothes; sometimes only a diaper. When a child in need comes into the CPS system, the caseworker can access the Rainbow Room for emergency supplies such as food, diapers, baby formula, and clothes.
